RBSE Supplementary Examination 2027

Who can take the Rajasthan Board supplementary exam, how to apply and how the supplementary result works.

The supplementary examination gives students a second chance in the same year. If you score below 33% in one or two subjects, your result shows Supplementary rather than Fail, and you can take those subjects again a few weeks later.

Who is eligible

  • Students placed in the supplementary category in the main Class 10 or Class 12 result, normally those who have not cleared one or two subjects.
  • Students who fail in more than two subjects are not eligible and must appear again in the next main examination.

How it works

  1. The board releases a notice with application dates and fees after the main result. Applications are usually made through your school.
  2. The board issues a timetable and admit cards for the supplementary papers.
  3. You appear only in the subjects you need to clear.
  4. The supplementary result is published on the official website, typically a few weeks after the papers.

In 2026 the supplementary papers were held in May, and results followed in the summer. The 2027 schedule will be in the board’s notice.

After you pass

Clearing the supplementary exam means you pass the examination in the same year, and you receive a revised marksheet. Many colleges accept supplementary passers in their admission rounds, but check each institution’s deadline.

Preparation tips

  • Get your scrutiny result first if you applied; it may change your status.
  • Focus on the chapters with the highest weight in the examination scheme.
  • Practise with previous-year question papers from the board’s website and your school.
