Rajasthan Board marksheets show your marks and also a grade for each subject. The board uses a nine-point grading scale for Class 10 and Class 12. Grades help you see your level in a subject at a glance; your marks and result status still decide pass or fail.
Grade table
| Marks in subject | Grade |
|---|---|
| 91 – 100 | A1 |
| 81 – 90 | A2 |
| 71 – 80 | B1 |
| 61 – 70 | B2 |
| 51 – 60 | C1 |
| 41 – 50 | C2 |
| 33 – 40 | D |
| 21 – 32 | E1 |
| 0 – 20 | E2 |
D is the lowest passing grade. E1 and E2 mean the subject has not been cleared.
Grades only subjects
Some subjects that are assessed by the school, rather than through a board theory paper, can appear on the marksheet with a grade only. They do not add to your aggregate marks.
Divisions
Besides grades, the result also places successful students in a division (First, Second or Third) based on aggregate percentage. The board’s result statistics report how many students reach each division every year. Your division is printed on the marksheet, so you do not need to calculate it.
Grade versus percentage
Colleges and entrance counselling in India mostly use your percentage, not your grades. Keep your total marks handy when filling admission forms.
