Practical and sessional marks are part of your final Rajasthan Board result, and you must pass them separately from the theory paper. Many students lose marks here simply by missing a date or a file.
Who has practical examinations
- Class 12 Science: Physics, Chemistry, Biology and other subjects with laboratory work.
- Class 12 Arts: subjects such as Geography, Psychology, Drawing, Music and Home Science, depending on your combination.
- Class 10: most subjects carry 20 sessional (internal assessment) marks awarded by the school rather than a separate board practical.
When they are held
The board issues a separate programme for practical examinations, normally before the theory papers begin. Your school will tell you your date, time and examiner. The 2027 programme is released by the board through its official notices and schools.
Prepare well
- Complete and get your practical record file signed before the exam.
- Revise the standard experiments and the viva questions linked to them.
- Carry your admit card or school ID as your school instructs.
Why it matters for your result
You need at least 33% in the practical or sessional part as well as in theory. A student who is absent from a practical may have the result withheld or be placed in the supplementary category. See RBSE Passing Marks.
